Alain Crépin commence ses études musicales à Dinant. Il débute par le saxophone, puis pratique le violoncelle et le piano. Il entre ensuite au Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Bruxelles où il obtient un 1er Prix de solfège, d'harmonie, de contrepoint et fugue, de saxophone et de musique de chambre. Il y étudie également l'orchestration et la direction d'orchestre. Saxophoniste à l'Orchestre d'Harmonie de la Gendarmerie Belge et à l'Orchestre des Guides, il est également professeur au Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Bruxelles et Commandant-Chef de Musique. Il compose de nombreuses pièces pour instrument soliste et piano et pour orchestre d'harmonie. Comme chef ou soliste, il enregistre plus d'une trentaine de disques. Il utilise POL Steve comme pseudonyme.Alain Crepin begins his musical studies at Dinant. He starts with the saxophone, then studies the violoncello and the piano. There he also studies orchestration and orchestra conducting. Saxophonist at the wind-band of the Belgian Gendarmerie and at the Orchestra of the Guides, he is also a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in Brussels and Commander-Chief of Music. He composes many pieces for instrumental soloist and piano and also for wind-band. As conductor or soloist, he recorded over thirty albums. Er arrangiert zahlreiche Stücke für Solistinstrument und Klavier und für Harmonieorchester zusammen. Als Dirigent oder Solist produziert er mehr als etwa dreißig CD's.
